The Acura RSX is the new sports coupe of 2002, which will replace the Integra in the Acura model range, because in all respects it is far superior to its predecessor. There was a time when Acura Integra defined a chic sports coupe class. But as national tastes were aimed at trucks and luxury sedans, the Integra — along with the small sports coupe market — went into the shadows. Now, with a new generation of drivers who are sympathetic to small sports cars, Acura is again able to become a leader.
The Acura RSX two-door hatchback is equipped with a two-liter four-cylinder engine that has dual overhead camshafts and a variable valve opening or closing system to achieve 160 horsepower at a maximum torque of 6,500 revolutions per minute. In addition to everything The RSX has three transmission options: a manual five-speed gearbox, an automatic five-speed transmission with a SportShift mechanism (individual gear ratio selection) and a six-speed one. The chassis of the car is fully updated, including a modified MacPherson rack project and independent suspension.
Newer models will come with harder springs and shock absorbers. Already in the base on the car will be installed 16-inch alloy wheels with low profile tires. Standard RSX equipment includes air conditioning, power windows, central locks and heated rear-view mirrors, a remote keyless system and a stereo system with a CD player. The Acura RSX model lineup has a charged version of the Acura RSX Type-S with a reconfigured program for the i-VTEC system, allowing you to develop a power of 200 horsepower at 7,400 rpm.
