Under the hood is a 560-horsepower W12 engine with a volume of 6.0 liters.
The maximum torque of this power unit is 650 Nm. Just like the GT, there is a 6-speed ZF 6HP26 automatic transmission and an adjustable air suspension that does not change the clearance during loading. No electronic assistants convertible also lost: ESP (Bosch) with the ability to turn off the driver, ABS. For braking respond ventilated brake discs installed in the front and rear.

The Continental GTC engine has also been refined. The power unit W12 new control unit and air filter. All conversions allowed to increase power from 560 hp to 650 hp. The maximum torque at the same time increased to 750 Nm. The maximum speed of the "pumped" cabriolet was 330 km / h, and now it took 4.6 seconds to accelerate to 100 km / h. In connection with the increase in speed limits, the brake system was also improved. A 6-piston 412-mm brake calipers were installed in the front.
The car was named in honor of the legendary 24-hour race Le-Man - Le MANSory Bentley Continental GTC. The first generation Bentley Continental GTC in 2012 changed the newer model in the line. The novelty, presented at the company's booth in Frankfurt, inherited all the stylistic elements of the "related" Continental GT coupe, updated in 2010.
For example, here are the front aluminum wings of the original form, made using advanced technology that completely eliminates welds. The convertible is built on a similar coupe platform with a wheelbase of 2,746 mm. Having received new, more modern and muscular body panels, the car gained almost the same dimensions as the coupe. The Bentley Continental GTC has become a couple of millimeters longer than its predecessor (4806 mm), 16 mm wider without taking into account new side mirrors (1943 mm) and five millimeters higher (1403 mm). The curb weight of the convertible has decreased by 45 kg (up to 2495 kg), and the full weight, as before, is 2900 kg.

The acoustic comfort of the driver and passengers of Bentley engineers worried with the help of panels under the bottom of the car and multi-layer folding top. The driving characteristics of the cabriolet were positively affected by the increased track, upgraded steering and suspension.
Revised engineers and all-wheel drive transmission: if previously the thrust between the axles was distributed evenly, then now the rear wheels constantly have 60 percent of the torque. The engine model was the same as that of the Continental GT, an upgraded six-liter twin-turbo engine W12. It develops 575 “horses” (at 6000 rpm) and a peak moment of 700 N • m (at 1700 rpm). In tandem with the engine works six-speed "automatic" firm ZF with the ability to switch on the steering wheel. The car picks up a hundred in 4.8 seconds and can accelerate to a maximum of 314 km / h. The predecessor indicators were slightly more modest - 5.1 s and 312 km / h, respectively.
