The release of the full-size executive sedan Cadillac Concours began in December 1993. It was a top version of the DeVille model. Production of the car lasted for six years, and was completed in 1999. At the base of the Concours, a platform shared with Deville.
The dimensions of the 4-door 6-seater body 5365/1950/1450 mm with a wheelbase of 2890 mm and 1545/1545 mm track. The curb weight of the car without passengers is 1800 kg (with an engine of 300 hp - 70 kg heavier). The version with the body of the GF-AK44K (since December 1998) had dimensions of 5335/1940/1450 mm and weight of 1820 kg. The exterior of the car was, as befits a car of this level, solid and respectable. The Concours bodies were painted black, green, blue, silver and gold in metallic colors with a mother-of-pearl shade.
The exhaust system was made of stainless steel, and the alloy wheels were chrome-plated. Impressive internal dimensions of 2040/1570/1190 mm (with a body GF-AK44K - 2020/1560/1170 mm) and spacious 3-seater sofas in front and behind made the stay in the car very comfortable. In the interior cladding used natural wood, the seats had leather upholstery, and the front had electric adjustment with memory. The steering column with leather steering wheel height adjustable.
Rich interior equipment included electric windows, central locking, climate control (since December 1998 - separate for front and rear passengers), cruise control, electrolatch with 2 positions, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, navigation system, automatic wiper activation, high-quality stereo CD / AM / FM with six speakers and control buttons on the steering wheel, and much more. Concours distinguished good insulation. The trunk opening was located at the bumper level, and the luggage compartment itself had a wide, flat floor where a large amount of luggage could be placed; its volume was 566 liters.
From 1993 to 1995, Concours was fitted with Northstar 4K DOHC V8 4,564-liter naturally aspirated engines with a power of 270 hp. (5600 rpm) and with a torque of 406 Nm (4400 rpm); The consumption of gasoline AI-95 in the urban cycle was close to 20 liters per 100 km. In November 1995, the model received a 300-horsepower (6000 rpm) V8 32-valve power unit with a torque of 399 Nm (4400 rpm). Since December 1998, the car began to put the engine capacity of 279 hp.

The price of this was high fuel consumption. Motors aggregated with a 4-speed automatic transmission. Automatic shift lever was on the steering wheel. The car had front-wheel drive. The front suspension on the Concours was installed on McFerson systems with coil springs. Rear - with pneumatic elements and coil springs, automatically adapting to the speed of the car and the condition of the road surface, ensured an exceptionally smooth ride.
The steering was supplied with power steering. The minimum turning radius was 6.2 m. The brakes and the front and rear were disc, while the front were ventilated. Active safety system included ABS; in 1997, DeVille Concours began to install the exclusive StabiliTrack anti-skid system. Passive safety was maintained by seat belts for all passengers (adjustable in height on the front seats), two airbags: driver and passenger (since December 1998 - side PB), as well as stiffeners in the doors. Standard tire size is P225 / 60R16 97S.
According to the test results of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration NHTSA in 1999, DeVille Concours received four points in crash tests for frontal and side impacts.
