In August 2001, one of the most prestigious American golf clubs in Pebble Beach hosted the first show of a new luxury sedan Cadillac CTS, which replaced the outdated model Cadillac Catera. Special attention is the fact that the version of the CTS Coupe can be both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. The latter is noticeably heavier, slower in acceleration (7.4 seconds to “hundred” versus 6.5), the maximum speed is less by 16 km / h - 225 instead of 241 for the coupe with two driving wheels. And in order to reduce the degree of understeer, engineers "played" with the diameters of anti-roll bars: the front became thinner, and the rear, on the contrary, thicker.
