Ferrari F430 was first presented to the public at the Paris Motor Show on September 23, 2004. The presence of Ferrari at the World de l'Automobile 2004 took place at an important moment for the company: it was a year of extraordinary sporting achievements. Exciting news that the Ferrari team won world titles among the designers for the sixth year in a row and among the drivers, thanks to the efforts of Michael Schumacher, for the fifth year in a row had a huge response. Ferrari has achieved impressive results thanks to the use of advanced Formula 1 technology in the design of production road cars. One of the most striking examples of this integration was the new F430 supercar.

Its sales in Europe began in the spring of 2005, and it appeared on the American market in the summer of the same year. The two-door rear-wheel drive two-door coupe F430 is located on the platform of its predecessor Ferrari 360 and has a number of major changes, which the word “Evolu” (Evoluzione) in the model name additionally resembles. The body design was developed with the participation of the traditional partner of the company - the studio Pininfarina. The car has become more streamlined and much wider, the characteristic, in the style of Ferrari Enzo, the design of the “tail” part with twin exhaust vents has been preserved.

Large oval holes in the front bumper are reminiscent of racing Ferrari 60s. Dimensions of the model 4512/1923/1214 mm with a base of 2600 mm and a track 1669/1616 mm, curb weight of 1525 kg. The F430 takes into account the developments of previous generations of Ferrari in the design of 8-cylinder engines and aluminum technology, first used in the Ferrari 360 Modena, brought to a new level. The layout of the F430 is traditional for supercars from Maranello (here is the Ferrari factory): the engine is longitudinally in front of the rear axle of the base, the carrier space frame is made of aluminum alloy, and the exterior panels are made partly of aluminum, partly of carbon fiber.

The supercar is equipped with a 4,308-liter V8 gasoline engine with 4 valves per cylinder and DOHC gas distribution system of a joint development Ferrari / Maserati. This engine develops 490 hp. at 8500 rpm and torque of 475 Nm at 5250 rpm. Dynamics F430 with this power unit is excellent: acceleration to the first hundred takes only 4 seconds, and the maximum speed reaches 316 km / h, the average consumption of gasoline is 18.3 liters. The reverse side of the engine's overwhelming power is possible overheating, which is not very good in terms of safety. The engine is aggregated with a 6-speed semi-automatic gearbox F1A with gear shifting with the keys under the steering wheel.

Rear differential E-Diff created using the developments of the company in Formula 1; allows you to maximize the power of the engine, optimizes traction and is regulated by an electronic switch from the steering wheel. The switch - manettino - allows you to change car settings on the go as on a racing car. The driver can choose from five different system control parameters: ESP, Skyhook electronic suspension, transmission mode, fuel supply and E-Diff. Additionally, for the European market, the F430 can be equipped with an electronic Launch Control system, which allows it to accelerate to 100 km / h from a place 0.2 seconds faster than with a basic transmission.

The brakes on the F430 were developed in close collaboration with the Brembo. Brake discs are made of a new special alloy using molybdenum for better heat dissipation. Another option is to provide carbon ceramic discs by Ferrari. Ceramics are more heat resistant than metals; as a result, their performance drops significantly less after numerous brakings, as well as increased service life.

Even after 300-350 laps on the test track, there are no complaints about them. Exclusive Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3 EMT tires are installed on the Ferrari F430. The dimension of the front tires is 225/35 ZR19, the rear tires are 285/35 ZR19. Also released are “special” versions of this model. In January 2006, the F430 Pista was introduced in Los Angeles, created as a racing option for participating in the Ferrari Challenge and featuring lower weight and an additional aerodynamic body kit. Introduced in 2006, the F430 GT2 racing was designed to replace the 360 GTC in the international GT2 class for the American Le Mans Series, Le Mans Series, FIA GT Championship and 24 Hours of Le Mans races.

It is the fastest of the F430 versions. The F430 GT3 is a specialized racing car designed for the FIA GT3 European Championship and is similar to the F430 Pista, but differs in more advanced aerodynamics. As a successor to the Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale in 2007, the F430 Scuderia was introduced in Frankfurt. Its weight is 100 kg less than that of the basic version, and the engine power is 13 hp. more (503 hp). Acceleration to hundreds takes 3.6 seconds, and the maximum speed reaches 319 km / h.
