Serial production of front-wheel minivan Fiat Ulysse began in 1994. The model is notable for its spaciousness, good visibility and remarkable possibilities for interior transformation. Fiat Ulysse is built on a platform developed jointly by PSA and Fiat. Lancia Phedra, Citroen C8 and Peugeot 807 were also released on this platform. Similarly to the co-platform, Ulysse has sliding side doors. In 2002, the second generation of the model was born.

Compared with the previous five-seater version, Ulysse II has grown significantly, adding more than 26 cm in length, 2.6 cm in width and 3.6 cm in height, which allowed it to become a seven-seater. Exterior design has become more modern. The car is not devoid of Italian charm and originality. The front end has got two-level front headlights, and the rear end is framed in a futuristic style, the headlights are “spread out” along the rear body pillars. The two-color interior of Ulysse, as well as the exterior of the car, is very distinctive. The devices are located in the center of the dashboard.

A small “tidy” with an abundance of control lamps and an LCD screen located directly behind the steering wheel, is complemented by three classic dials (speedometer, tachometer, temperature / fuel) located on the top “floor” in the center of the panel. Below there is a screen that displays all the information regarding the operation of the audio system, the clock and various warning information. Below that is the radio itself, and under it the automatic transmission selector and several control keys. On Ulysse installed 2 petrol engines of 2.0 (136 hp) and 3.0 (204 hp) liters, as well as two diesel engines of 2.0 (109 hp) and 2.2 ( 128 hp) liters.

The latest diesel version is capable of spending only 7 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers in mixed mode. In the top-end configuration Fiat Ulysse can be equipped with a large panoramic roof. The luggage compartment is large in size, its capacity varies from 340 to 3300 liters, depending on the combinations of 7 seats. If desired, you can remove all the seats for passengers and fill the space with luggage.
