Hyundai Veloster is an inimitable hybrid of a hatchback and a sports coupe. The appearance of the production version, as usual, was preceded by the concept, shown in 2007 at the auto show in Seoul. However, the favorable reaction of critics, and most importantly the public, of potential buyers, prompted the company to present the Veloster production model at the Detroit auto show. The car is built on the platform Hyundai i30, which determined its compact dimensions. The wheelbase is 2.64 m, length is 4.2 m, and width is 1.7 m. The front of the car is a hexagonal grille, which is considered to be Hyundai's business card, massive air intakes and original LED headlights. As a base engine, Hyundai Veloster offers a 1.6-liter gasoline engine with direct injection, developing 138 horsepower. The engine is aggregated with a 6-step "mechanics". For a fee, the first in the history of the Korean company is a 6-step dual-clutch dual-clutch “robot”.
