In 2003, a new Peugeot 807 appeared on the European market, a follower and receiver of the model 806, also the result of industrial collaboration between Fiat Auto and PSA Peugeot Citroen. The car turned out harmonious, multi-purpose and very respectable. The design and the lower part of the body borrowed from the model 806, but significantly modified to further improve safety and stability on the road. The body has a length of 4.73 meters, a wheelbase of 2.82 meters, is equipped with two hinged doors in front and two sliding doors in the back (which can be equipped with an electric drive). The interior is made in a simple, elegant and modern style.
Especially noteworthy is the cabin with its dashboard in the form of an arc, which, together with a panoramic tinted, heat-resistant windscreen, creates a sense of space and light. The car generally has a large glass area, which, by the way, can be increased by ordering an additional triple sunroof. The possibilities of salon transformation are almost endless. Any of the seats can be dismantled separately (except for the two front) or removed. The dismantling procedure does not cause any difficulties. If you order a rear seat for the third row when buying, you can place up to 8 people in the car.
In addition, each of the backs of the second and third rows can take a horizontal position, thus giving the opportunity to carry long things or turning into a camp table. In addition, folding tables are available in the backside of the front seats (by type of aircraft). On the second row can comfortably accommodate three people.
Separate seats can be configured individually for each passenger. Access to the third row, does not carry any difficulties due to easy folding and reclining forward any of the extreme seats of the middle row. From a technical point of view, the vehicle equipment is at a fairly high level: in addition to ESP, the serial package also includes a brake assist system. The line of power units consists of four engines: two petrol - 16-valve, 2.2-liter, V6 24-valve, 3.0-liter, two diesel - 16-valve, 2.0-liter and 2, 2 liters. The two-liter HDi diesel engine is brand new in the Peugeot range. Its power is 133 hp, and thanks to the overboost function, the torque is 340 Nm.
The 2.2-liter gasoline engine can be aggregated with both a manual 6-speed transmission and the 4-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission.
