Practical Peugeot Bipper belongs to the class of ultra-compact commercial vehicles. The car is a smaller copy of its brother in the concern - Peugeot Partner. Reducing the size did not affect the spaciousness of the cabin, but only slightly reduced the luggage compartment. The debut of the car took place in December 2007 at the Bologna Motor Show.
The model has a single platform with Citroen Nemo and Fiat Fiorino. The car was developed in collaboration with Peugeot, Fiat and Fiat’s Turkish partner Tofaş, from whose conveyor Peugeot Bipper began to go. The model was offered in two body styles: a commercial van with the admission of a truck and a station wagon with partial glazing of the sides and five seats. The passenger version was named Peugeot Bipper Tepee and received the rear sliding door as a standard element, while for a commercial van a side sliding door is offered as an option.
The Bipper Tepee trunk is designed multifunctional, its volume is 356 liters, while with folded seats it increases to 884 liters. For special purposes, the seats can be removed, which will provide 2.5 m³ of space. The car can take on board 545 kg of cargo. Bipper harmoniously combines attractive design and advanced equipment.
Compact and dynamic body model looks not only modern, but not without solidity. Wide grille made in the corporate style of Peugeot. The front bumper and the vertical door handles are striking the eyes. One of the bright signs of the exterior is stylish 18-inch wheels on low-profile Michelin tires. The car's interior is underlined practical, but cozy and quite comfortable. The car is equipped with the latest electronics, and innovative technologies provide passive and active safety.
The proportionally designed front seats are very comfortable due to head restraints, lumbar support, and variable seat positions. In addition, the height of the steering column is also adjustable, which allows the driver to customize everything according to individual parameters. The convenience of the driver is largely due to the ergonomic dashboard. All sensors and devices themselves are divided into three areas - the central part of the console, the driver's part of the console and the instrument panel under the steering column - all within the reach of the driver. The engine range offers both the petrol version (1.4 l / 75 hp at 5200 rpm) and diesel (1.4 l / 68 hp).
Gearbox - five-speed manual. According to the manufacturer, the average fuel consumption with a gasoline engine is 6.6 l / 100 km, which corresponds to a specific CO2 emission of 155 g / km. The diesel engine on the combined cycle consumes 4.5 l / 100 km (119 g CO2 / km).
Safety is provided by the driver and all passengers airbags, in combination with side airbags, inertial seat belts, ABS and Isofix systems. All seats in Bipper Tepee are equipped with three-point seat belts. In addition, there are 2 ISOFIX attachments in the rear seats. Driver, passenger and side airbags are standard on Bipper Tepee. The passenger airbag can be deactivated via the on-board computer.
