Toyota Venza - 5-seater mid-size crossover, manufactured by Toyota for the North American market, and since spring 2013 for the Russian. Venza was introduced on January 14, 2008 at the Detroit Auto Show. The car went on sale at the end of 2008. The model is positioned as a vehicle for young families who prefer an active lifestyle. Toyotzovtsy describe the Venza as a mix of sedan comfort, station wagon functionality, as well as spaciousness and off-road capabilities of the crossover. Restyled Toyota Venza 2013 debuted at the Spring Auto Show in New York 2012.
The crossover is built on the Toyota K Platform platform and for this reason is a close relative of the Toyota Camry, Toyota Harrier, Toyota Highlander and Lexus RX cars. The size of the Venza is a rather large car: its length is 4833 mm, its width is 1905 mm, and its height is 1610 mm. Wheelbase - 2775 mm. And no third-row seats: the entire internal volume is given for five passengers.
In addition to the five seats, Venza has a very solid trunk for a crossover - of 975 liters, and with the second row of seats folded down (the backs fold down automatically) - as many as 1982 liters. In the line of the Japanese automaker, this model takes place a step below the Highlander crossover, and its main competitor in the US is the Honda Crosstour. The changes affected the appearance and equipment of the car. The technique has remained intact. The distinctive features of the restyled Venza 2013 were a new grille, LED sections in the head optics, integrated turn signal repeaters in the rear-view mirrors, as well as a retouched front bumper.
In addition, Toyota Venza flaunts 19-inch wheels of a modified design, and the range of available options for body color has expanded due to the introduction of three new colors: Attitude Black, Cypress Pearl and Cosmic Gray Mica. Japanese engineers paid special attention to the rear-view mirrors: they automatically tilt when reversing, have the function of lighting when landing in the salon and are able to remember 2 configurations of their own settings. In addition, Toyota Venza boasts a front parking sensor (in addition to the rear, like everyone else).
In the cabin of the 2013 Toyota Venza, you can note a different steering wheel and the upgraded multimedia system Entune, which is installed on expensive versions of the crossover in XLE and Limited trim levels. The technical part of the car has not changed - the previous 2.7-liter “four” with 185 hp are offered as power units. and a 268-horsepower 3.5-liter V6. Both versions are front wheel drive, but all-wheel drive is available as an option. All-wheel drive is made according to the AWD scheme, and when the front wheels slip, part of the thrust is transferred to the rear axle.
Transmission - only six-speed automatic. The car will be delivered to us only with a basic 185-horsepower engine of 2.7 liters. The basic version of Elegance offers light and rain sensors, xenon headlights, LED running lights, 19-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic roof and electric sunroof, leather upholstery, dual-zone climate control, full power accessories, a stabilization system and an audio system with six speakers and 6 , 1-inch display.
